Wood blinds are not only durable and lightweight, but they are also great natural insulators. Genuine wood helps to block air from entering your home, which may reduce your utility costs over time. Studies suggest that at least 30% of your utility costs are from air entering from windows, so natural wood is a very reasonable choice.

Parkland® blinds are available in 60 solid colors and stains. No matter what your decor, you will find a match in one of the five color collections offered by Hunter Douglas, including specialty and matte finishes. Solids include tasteful hues of whites, grays, and neutral tones which look lovely with optional decorative tape. Wood blinds from Hunter Douglas also feature advanced finishing technology to ensure a gorgeous appearance for years to come.

See the Light...Or Not

Unlike blinds made from other materials, genuine wood is solid and 100% opaque to guarantee your privacy when the slats are fully closed. Variable light control allows you to enjoy the exact amount of light you want by tilting the slats open. Two slat sizes are available, with larger slats giving you better view-through, room-darkening, and insulation. The fewer slats the fewer gaps there are for light and air to leak through. de-Light™ technology increases room-darkening by 50% by eliminating the cord holes on the sides of the blinds. You will be amazed at what a difference 50% less incoming light makes when you want your room darkened.

Easy to Care For

Wood blinds will not absorb grime or odors like fabric window treatments. All your wood blinds need to stay looking great is a weekly dusting with a soft, clean cloth. You can use a conditioning wood oil as needed but take care to not get your blinds wet as authentic wood will be damaged by excess moisture.

Operation Options

Choose the operating system that best suits your home from several available options. You can go with the standard corded lifting system or a cordless system which is safer for homes with children and pets. SimpleLift™ allows you to raise and lower your blinds by pressing a button on the bottom rail. Another cordless option is LiteRise® which is operated by the simple movement of your hand. It provides clean lines by omitting all cords.

The crowning jewel in operating systems crown is PowerView® Automation. This motorized system integrates seamlessly with most smart home systems, allowing you to control your window blinds using only your voice or your favorite mobile device. You can set your wooden blinds to open at sunrise for a calm, natural awakening instead of being jarred awake by an alarm clock. You can also use the system to increase your home’s security. You can access your blinds via the Internet from anywhere in the world. This will allow you to make it look as though your home is occupied even when it is not.
